In our present scenario where people have short attention spans and software in general has a rather short shelf life, ten years is a long, long time. Even more so, rising from being a bloggers’ tool to the world’s most popular CMS within a decade is an accomplishment in itself.

Guess who has done all of that and just turned ten?

Yes, that’s right. None other than WordPress!

Our favorite software is now officially ten years old!

And how exactly is the world celebrating this? To begin with, you have got meetups and parties that are going on all around the world. Yes, literally all around the world! Also, let us not forget the anniversary merchandise.

Few months ago, we told you that we had crossed over 10,000 websites. Well, that was back in August last year. This year, we couldn’t have asked for a better New Year gift! Yes, you are right — InfiniteWP now powers over 50,000 websites!

Allow me to say it once again (after all, you don’t cross 50,000 everyday):

At this junction, we would like to thank all our awesome users for making this possible. We are glad to see that InfiniteWP is able to help you manage your websites and blogs in an easy manner.

For improved reliability, we are now connecting to the WP sites using the wp-admin URL by default, instead of the site URL. If your wp-admin link is protected or dynamic, you may face some issues.

IF YOUR WP-ADMIN URL IS PROTECTED

If your wp-admin is folder-protected, enter the wp-admin URL and enter the credentials under FOLDER PROTECTION before adding the site.

IF YOUR WP-ADMIN URL IS PROTECTED

IF YOUR WP-ADMIN URL IS DYNAMIC

If your wp-admin is dynamic and you want to use the site URL instead, enter the SITE URL and then select CONNECT USING SITE URL under ADVANCED before adding the site.

IF YOUR WP-ADMIN URL IS DYNAMIC

NO THANKS. I WANT TO USE THE SAME OLD SITE URL

If you would rather revert to connecting using the site URL for all your sites, you can do so by adding this line to the config.php file.

define('CONNECT_USING_SITE_URL', 1);

ADDING PREMIUM PLUGINS/THEMES TO MY FAVORITES

You can now add plugin and theme files directly into the My Favorites section with a reference URL to the files.

If you re-add a site after removing it, any old backups will now be displayed in the Manual section under Backups.

We are excited and elated to announce that the number of sites managed using InfiniteWP has crossed 10,000 within about 3 months of public release. We thank all of you for your ardent support. It feels great to know that we are able to extend this much needed solution to more and more users everyday.

As you probably already know, our first 3 premium addons are due for release any time now. You have the ultimate surprise waiting in regards to that. It is as they say; The best things come to those who wait. It will definitely be worth the wait. Trust me.

As our addons are getting ready for the beta release, we want the price to be fair and comfortable for you. So, we would like to know how much you think the addons are worth paying for.
We would be charging a one-time fee (with LIFETIME LICENSE) for all addons with free updates for 1 year and all subsequent optional updates will be charged yearly in the order of 50% or lesser than the actual addon price.

We were in the midst of a programming frenzy to get the addons ready in time for the release when one of you guys asked this question. Only then did we realize that we hadn’t done what we should have done at least a month ago. Letting you guys know the status of the premium addons and what you can expect. So here it is.

We are releasing 3 addons initially (in accordance with your votes, of course).

Scheduled Backups
Backup to Amazon S3 & Dropbox

But, When?

The core development of the addons is complete. We are now working on the purchase module and other last minute chores. So, the addons should be up for sales very soon. (We will update this post with the release date. So keep an eye out.)
